He does share some attributes with him though, he holds the ball up well and brings others into play, he's strong, very robust, has a powerful shot etc, you've got to say he's more like him than Crouch, which was all I was saying in the first place.
You're having a 'mare this morning mate . I wasn't referring to anything you specifically had said - the Shearer/Kuyt comparison is quite a popular one. Don't see it myself. He's Mark Hughes all over IMO.

However, obviously Kuyt is the closest thing we have to Shearer amongst our ranks. I always thought Crouch has the capability to be a Sheringham type.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I'd absolutely sell Crouch if, as rumored, Newcastle would be willing to part with 12 million for him. Good piece of business, if you ask me.

It would still be behind Auxerre in the 'sensational business' front after they raped us for 14 million quid for Cisse. I doubt that will ever be bettered.

i don't know, the 10 million dioufy was quite the sale.

Agree with Rocket. Cisse is much better than Diouf. Lens laughed all the way to the bank thanks to GED forking out 10£ m for spit boy.

A transfer battle over Crouch was something I never thought would happen two years ago.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

If Rafa's so sure we NOT signing Villa, I wonder if that's because he's definitely got something else lined up?

Alan Oliver (newcastle evening chronicle) was on the radio before their game at the blue****e today talking about Crouch. He said that they (NUFC) will undoubtedly put a bid in during the xfer window.

£10,000,000-£12,000,000 appears to be the price so if their offer is any less than that I suspect they'll be wasting their time. Fat Freddy might just be daft enough though.

Please, anything £8m plus would have to be seen as a bargain.

I'd value hi at £8m but the press seemed to think that the price was £12m. I'd be happy with 8 or 9 million. Who would we replace him with though?
