All true about him winning some things, but that's only from an outside perspective.
A truly grounded person would look on certain achievements in their life with a more critical eye, and that's were traitor's European Cup medal loses its lustre."I will make the boys feel your support"

I think we can call this chapter closed. We don't even have anything to gloat about anymore and its getting a bit undignified.
So what if he's not "what he was with us" - he's past his peak and we had the best of him. Chelsea don't really want him, and he'll end up just another decent European striker when he goes back to Spain. No player in the history of football has ever managed to play at the same level throughout a career.
He was part of a Champions League winning squad. So what? We're a year and a half past since he left now, and the conclusion is we had him at his best.

True, but he still doesn't look very good. If Chelsea thought he was he would have played more.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostHis form improved after AVB was sacked. He was never really a great 'team player' when he was with us. I mean, he wasn't the best at linking up with other players. Rafa just knew how to use his qualities in the best way possible. He's had to adapt to the way Chelsea play and it was never going to be easy for him. It was a bit of a strange move to be honest. Still, he now seems to be progressing but yeah, I doubt he'll ever be as great a success there.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostTrue, but he still doesn't look very good. Well we have been laughing at him for a season and a half now, he has contributed next to nothing in a Chelsea shirt, but at the end of the day he has an FA Cup Medal & a Champs League Medal. We all know that Drogba won that Cup for them, but Torres must know in his gut that he was irrelevant to Chelsea, yet he went to Chelsea to get trophies and .... he has.
Anyways this is my last post in this thread. He has been gone for season and a half now, we've had our fun & now i think it's time to shut up and concentrate on our own as we just sound bitter & jealous. We have our own problems.
He'll never be what he was, not even close. Adios Mother ****er
