Agree, i know footballers and celebs trot out the old line of..... 'oh if i had to sue everyone that said this or that about me that was'nt true...blah blah..etc', which i sort of understand, but if this is a total fabrication, and the interview did'nt even take place..so no 'misinterpretation' or 'lost in translation' excuse for it, then you would think he would sue, i ****in would, give the cash to charity.

But, having thought i knew the type of bloke he was, only to find out he was a ****, i don't really know what he'd do about something like this, or whether to believe he did'nt really say something along the lines of what was attributed to him, to someone at some time, which has now surfaced.

Chelsea beat Rangers 3-1 in Glasgow today.

                Nope he didn't

"Fernando Torres was allowed a glimpse of goal just two minutes later but the Spaniard’s fresh-air swipe suggested that he has yet to rediscover the predatory instincts which made him the most feared striker in Europe".

I'm really starting to get fed up with that type of reporting as if he's some sort of good striker just stuck in a rut...............reports referring to 'the hapless Torres' would be a good start.

We really should nuke this thread.

He's gone, we royally ****ed the chavs for 50 million for a player who looks a shadow of his former self, they all know it and **** me it's funny. Playing with Stevie in a system built around his strengths made him the most feared striker in the world.

Now he's a hasbeen and we have El Pistolero

Let's consign him and this thread to the backwaters of existence.

I reckon we should put a bid in for Sturridge, he looks a player to me and would provide us with good options. Would definitely get more game time with us as opposed to behind Drogba, Anelka, Torres and now Lukaku...

They'd never sell Sturridge to us.

It seems his place is now further unde rthreat, with 5 proven strikers now at the club

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Anderlecht for the signing of striker Romelu Lukaku for a fee thought to be in the region of £19million.

The 18-year-old has been linked with the Blues throughout the summer and scored 16 goals in 37 league appearances last season and already has two to his name in two games in the current campaign for the Brussels club.

A statement on Anderlecht's official website read: "RSC Anderlecht and Chelsea have reached an agreement regarding the transfer of Romelu Lukaku.

"Subject to the results of medical tests and the conclusion of negotiations between the player and the English club, Romelu Lukaku will therefore move into the colours of the London club."

Anderlecht general manager Herman van Holsbeeck added on the official website: "We regret the departure of Romelu...but the agreement is a win-win situation for the player and RSC Anderlecht. The club's management is committed to finding a good replacement in the short term.

"We wish him every success for the rest of his career."

The player posted a comment on Twitter which read: "I have an announcement to make...Next week I'm going to London for the medical tests."

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is now closing in on the third signing of his reign, and admitted after today's friendly against Rangers that a deal was close.

He said: "He is a very interesting young prospect and the situation is now that we have to position ourselves to maybe get this kind of talent.

"So I would say that anything can happen."

The Blues reportedly had an £18million bid for the player turned down last month.

Chelsea also released a statement which read: "An agreement has been reached with Anderlecht for the transfer to Chelsea of striker Romelu Lukaku.

"The move is now subject to the player passing a medical and agreeing
                                personal terms."
