Torres was a much better finisher. Twice so far this season Suarez has been one on one with the keeper. First time he was brought down, second time he skied it. Torres for us would have put them both away........... no doubt about it.

I agree really. Torres was 'just' a goal machine, a deadly assassin. But he didn't contribute so much other than scoring goals. Suarez is just a constant pest, the creator, the finisher, the talisman. He's magic.

They are completely different but I'd rather have Suarez, put him on the wing he'll be world class, put him behind a striker he'll be world class and put him upfront he'll be world class. Torres never had those strings to his bow.

Different players obviously, but Torres was a class apart anything at the time, or since.

Practically all of his goals were self made, from very little or nothing. He didn't need to bring others into play. He just got on and did it himself. So effortlessly.

He single handedly won us so may games.
