Best he can hope for now is he gets picked on pity or past glories. He obviously wont start many for Chelsea unless Drogba is injured which might actually work in his favour and help Del Bosque forget he's actually **** everytime he steps on the pitch. Doubt it though!

Chelsea's Fernando Torres returns to short and blonde Liverpool hairstyle


It seems Chelsea's Fernando Torres is hoping a return to his old Liverpool haircut will also mean a return to his deadly form - after the Spanish striker cut his hair short and coloured it bright blonde.

The 27-year-old has failed to live up to his £50million price tag since making the switch from Merseyside to west London in January 2011.


He has only managed to score five goals in 48 games, which has led to him being dropped from both the Chelsea and Spain teams.

But Torres may have discovered the reason why he has been such a dismal failure.

Unlike Samson, he may think that the secret to his success is cutting his hair short and colouring it bright blonde.

In all fairness to him when he did have the light barnet he performed brilliantly, scoring an impressive 81 goals in 126 starts for Liverpool.

His new hairstyle has been welcomed by many of his supporters on Twitter, who are all hopeful he will rediscover his form.

But not everyone is convinced. Some say that only a return to Liverpool will improve his form.

@louicce tweeted: 'torres's new hair is identical with the one he had at Liverpool. Now the only thing missing is a red shirt.'

With Torres' new hairdo there's no more excuses and it will definitely be a case of get goals or dye trying.
