So do I. Because if he starts Drogba won't, and I'd much prefer that.

Sadly he's nailed on to start from the bench.

Hmm I dunno, we've allowed some absolute **** like Jamie Mackie, Gary Caldwell, Shaun Derry, Bendtner and Nigel Reo Coker to score against us ths season and while he's obviously not as good as any of them players now it's still a worry. The **** dogs often have their day against us!

I hope Torres scores, and we then go on to win, it will be a much lauded goal at the time, i'm sure the commentator even has a pre rehearsed sentence to shout out if he does, so for us to then go on to win would be all the sweeter.

                I'd love it.

Although, saying that, i'd be quite happy for us to just bang 3 in with no reply and no nail biting stomach churning events too.

Haha the xommentator on Eurogoals reviewing the Chav's CL season just mentioned their 5-0 win, saying "Fernando Torres even scoring."
                  3rd place. Worst champions ever.

A friend told me over the weekend that he'd been told at the final that Torres never wanted the move but was forced out because the club wanted the money. He would be open to coming back. This was from an inside source who's been on the staff at both clubs. His info is usually pretty good

Sounds like bollocks to me, he clearly orchestrated it all. His comments after the move pretty much proved that beyond any doubt.

I thought the same at first but it would answer the question why he's continued to have a pop at us and spoke a lot about the truth of his move

If this was the case why did they want Pepe to stay. Also why did they then spunk most of the money on Carroll?
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

As much as I hate him, I'd take him back in a heartbeat.

Not having a go at you but your friend is full of it. LFC released an official statement on the website (prior to his move) stating that Torres had handed in a transfer request and that they had rejected it. Plus Torres has given countless interviews stating that he wanted to leave to win trophies. One of his beautiful quotes IIRC was along the lines "I wanted to move to a big club" - so he chose a plastic club.

If I was you, I would tell your friend that you no longer want to be his friend

                                LFC reject Torres transfer request

Liverpool FC have confirmed that Fernando Torres has on Friday evening submitted a transfer request. The request has been rejected.

"Fernando is under a long-term contract and the Club expects him to honour the commitment he made to Liverpool FC and its supporters when he signed the agreement."
