Right, I don't know what you remember being his best, but that really wasn't it. He was trashing defenses game after game in 2008/2009 for us. He was unstoppable. What I saw was a player who was a shell of his former self, but scoring one or two goals. Nothing close to when he was with us.Originally posted by Nigey View PostTorres end of last season was getting back to his best.
Suarez offers twice the Torres does at the moment. He works for the team and tries hard. Torres doesn't look like he has tried for Chelsea in most games. Also, Borini, dispite not scoring as many still works his nuts off. He might not be the player we want at the moment. But no one can fault his effort and industy. Again, Torres offers none of that.Originally posted by Nigey View PostI would have taken him back as he's better than all we've got.
So in short, I wholelly disagree with both things you said there
I would still take him back though. As I'm convinced he got a lot of his confidence from the Kop.*Except Michael, who died.

He still just does not look right in that team. It will not happen for him and I can only see 1 realistic solution...him being used as a makeweight back to Atletico when the Chavs sign Falcao."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

Seems a logical solution doesn't it. It'd be a nightmare if they signed Falcao.Originally posted by Tee View Post

And why would Atletico burn their hands by signing a guy who's on the decline + on massive wages?Originally posted by Shaggy View PostSeems a logical solution doesn't it. It'd be a nightmare if they signed Falcao.
He's shot physically. He won't last much longer.Patience when teased often, transforms into rage

I did see it, and I agree with you.
However, not sure though if even the help of The Kop can save him IF he ever came back (I reckon there is more chance of finding life on Mars than Torres returning).

I am resigned to it already happening mate. After all, he is a self confessed boyhood Chelsea fan.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostSeems a logical solution doesn't it. It'd be a nightmare if they signed Falcao.
Take a bow Duberry, Newton and Cascarino, what an impact you must have made in Columbia.
