Not at all, but he has chosen Chelsea, a "massive cloob". Goo dluck to him, he is part of our glorious past and that chapter is well and truly shut now.

I am sure there were many other offers Rafa could have taken, but he chose Chelsea, like Torres, and thats that.

One thing I did notice yesterday was how much closer Oscar was playing toward Torres. He was almost playing alongside him at times.

on motd shearer was pointing out just how isolated torres was, no support from his team mates.

I'd have to see what clips he was using, but from the match, the position of the players suggested to me that Oscar had been pushed further forward. Ray Wilkins made the point about Mata being played much wider than usual, which made it more difficult to support Torres.

if there was a break, and a ball played up to torres and he knocked it down, there was no one around him. im sure the iplayer thingy will have the motd stuff on it. maybe he was just picking out odd times.
i didnt pay too much attention, too busy waving my new plastic flag

To be fair, Chelsea chose him. He didn't sit there with the pick of all the biggest clubs and then chose them. It's lunacy to have expected him to turn the job down because we don't like it very much.

Even the Torres thread has turned into the Rafa thread. All threads are morphing into the Rafa thread.

You don't know if there were any offers any other club with Chelsea's chances of winning trophies and WE were the ones who didn't choose a man who clearly would jump at the chance to manage us again, so I will never blame Rafa for taking the Chelsea job.
What should he do, wait for us to sack Rodgers and then take the chance, that he would be appointed then? Please!

He deserves eternal respect for the way he have conducted himself regarding Liverpool FC and their fans.

And he will always have our respect. But the point is he said himself he had other offers but turned them down. The Chelsea job was exactly what he was waiting for, and now he has it he has to deal with all that comes with it. Good and bad.

Like I said before he is now just a chapter of our past, like many other Managers.

Rafa's the only manager we have had who had his vision and chances taken away from him by circumstance and ****** owners.

There will always be a sense of "what if" with Rafa, so its not like with other managers at all. We were so close, but the wrong owners ruined our chances and his legacy.

Unlike some people I have to say that I think that his decision to leave was partly understandable. Football is a job, and players get paid (admittedly a huge amount) to turn up and play. Loyalty to a club is a rare commodity these days.

Looked at in isolation, he put up with the turmoil of the H&G era, saw some of the team's best players sold, saw the team fail to kick on from their best finish in years and instead go backwards, and saw Rafa replaced by the Bodge (God only knows how awful it must have felt to play under him) and then by Dalglish, who we all viewed through rose tinted spectacles, but in hindsight wasn't up to the job (and who knows how he related to Torres when he came in). He isn't a Liverpool fan, isn't Liverpudlian or even English, so why should he be expected to show loyalty regardless of circumstance? Remember, Gerrard came within hours of leaving, and he's a Scouser and a fan, so why should we expect unflinching loyalty from anyone these days?

I'd take him back if the deal was right.
I love this dismissing of dalglish. With the **** team he bought he took us to two cup finals, had no Lucas, Suarez saga and 8th place which included a ridculous amount of games where we should have been out of sight. This year the facts say we are ****.
