I didn't think Henderson was anything spectacular yesterday, but people are crying out for a DM in this team, yet Henderson puts in a decent DM display (break up play, keep things simple, don't concede) and he gets slated for it.

Henderson is doing what he is instructed to do and yesterday he was very disciplined and Wijnaldum and Can were the ones instructed to go forward to try and force the play.

I wonder whether people watch games with a tactical eye sometimes before criticising individuals.

I must have been watching a different game because I thought that was Hendersons best performance of the season. Led by example and did everything asked I thought. Can was disappointing again for me.

Also Moreno played very well as did all the back 5.

I think I'm justified in criticising him for
a) not being vocal enough with referees and team mates
b) being atrocious at passing forward on the rare occasions he attempts to.

He doesn't have to pass forward because as a defensive midfielder, all he has to do is break up play and keep the ball, not try the hollywood pass to please people. Whenever his role differs, he can do what you mention.
