Doing the rounds on twitter - from a German paper, their equivalent of Metro apparently. Not sure how reliable that makes it.

I don't see us getting Shaqiri AND Lallana.

Came on in the second half for Switzerland last night and was excellent, involved in the first goal and scored the second. I think he's gonna have a decent World Cup.

It is a decent paper but the news is hashed from what we have all been reading, just filling space because he played well last night.

would be a good signing for the right price. If we could get him for, say £12 to 15m, then it would be excellent business. In reality if it went tits up, he would still be only 24 / 25 before we shipped him out and we could recoup a lot of the transfer fee.

The same can't be said of Lallana. If he goes pear-shaped, then we are hoping some fool like big Sam or Mark Hughes buys him for 5 or 6million - and we'd probably be supplementing his wages as well.....

If Lallana was 22 years old, then i'd be all over it. But he's not.

Personally if it wasn't for Saints unreasonable evaluation I'd take Lallana over Shaqiri regardless of the age as I do think we'd be much better fit for us.

Looks like the rumours are growing of this nearly being sealed. Very happy if true. Young first team quality. Quality.

Is he not playing for Bayern because of better players in his way?

Unless Pep is on a sabotage mission i'd imagine so.

He has Robben and Ribery ahead of him.

17 games last season saw him score 6 times which is a good return.

You forget how tough it must be to get into that Bayern side. Whenever I've seen him I've been pretty impressed, €15M would be a really good deal IMO

Much Much rather we spend on Shaqiri than Lallana, and especially if we can get him cheper as well. Hope we manage to get him, looked an amazing talent when at Basel, and have looked very good the few times I've seen him this season.

                                Sturridge at Chelsea......

                                Coutinho at Inter.....

                                Sakho at PSG.....

The shaq is still young, will be hungry to prove that he deserves to be rated as one of the top young players in europe.....and if he has any sense, he will see the opportunity to work with a manager that can propel him to the next level and beyond as being a no brainer and sign on the dotted line...
