My favourite player of all time.

Hmm, I dunno mate. We got £11m for him and spent it on ****e like Diouf. It was pretty much the signing of Heskey that pushed Fowler out of the door and God was superior to both him and Owen.

I suppose you could look at the fact we picked up £11m for an injury-prone player but I do wonder whether that would've changed had he stayed. I remember reading in his book that he really fell out of love with the game at City.

Robbie says in his book that he turned City down as he'd been told Houllier was trying to bring him back.
He was then told that the board wouldn't let Houllier spend any money on anyone as he's ****ed up with Diouf and Diao so then he met again with Keegan and decided to sign for City.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Who better to train our injury prone right backs, eh?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I'm sorry but leaving Robbie to coach our players, is a bit like leaving Bernard Matthews to look after your turkey

Agree on Bernard. Depending on your point of view, he is either responsible for the biggest ornithological genocide of recent times or he is the greatest farmyard to table strategist of the last 100 years
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Has McManaman had any coaching roles at any clubs so far?

Alex Inglethorpe, the U21's manager, was quoted as saying it,I forget where I saw it but the Anfield wrap mentioned it on twitter too. Also said Kenny was approached about coming back on board in some capacity too.
