I would take Meireles over both Henderson and Adam personally. Henderson may come good but right now he is a bit of a nothing player. Adam is a generally average player who can play a nice pass when he has a lot of space, but Meireles is a far more intelligent player when on the ball.

Put Adam or Henderson into the current Chelsea team and I suspect they'd both bomb big style, Raul was unfortunate/stupid to join a club on the decline with a rookie manager in charge. If he was still here he'd contribute plenty like he did last season.

Not that it matters now (before someone says he didn't want to be here etc.) but Imo he was never given a proper chance to show his real talent.

He is more creative than other 3 and and can play in few different positions.

I think he would link up very well with Stevie and Luis and he has goals in him.

But, by all accounts he was never settled in England. If he was happy at the club he would have stayed IMO and been a regular.

It's water under the bridge but the fact he is not here has lot to do with Purslow making footballing related decision after Rafa left and also Kenny not being able to fit him in our system of play in addition to him wanted to go back home.
