That's supposed to be July 12th at Linfield, I'm guessing that wont be allowed!
Seen that, not looking forward to it at all. I imagine they will change the fixtures around though and play at Celtic Park on the 12th.

Seen a report over the weekend that Rodgers recently gave a presentation where he mentioned he'd lost his mojo by the end of his time at Liverpool. I always thought he got himself into some sort of bad position with the players following the defeats against ManUre (2-1, with Gerrard getting sent-off) and Arsenal (4-1, where he tore Kolo Toure off a strip in front of the squad), didn't have the credibility after that to stop the rest of the season being a farewell tour for Gerrard, and picked up signs over the summer that FSG were looking to replace him but could not land the right person. Certainly he started the 2015/16 season very flat.

I think he could still develop into a good manager and in many ways I hope that he does (tho' not at our expense). But no manager in recent times has left Celtic and prospered - I think managing in a league with no competition teaches you bad habits - so he must make serious inroads in Europe next year or get out for a new challenge at the end of the season.

Great achievement but it really is a **** league with probably only 6 meaningful testing games a season. When Scott Brown and Sinclair look like world beaters you know the levels of the league.

It's really difficult to judge Rodgers' achievement at Celtic, it's only the 4th time Celtic have done the domestic treble so he will receive praise and a place in history for that, as the only other Celtic managers to do that are Jock Stein and Martin O'Neill.

Going through the season unbeaten is also a great achievement, the problem is the quality of the opposition, Celtic have won the league for the previous 5 years and the margin of that has been by at least 15 points each year. Obviously they have had to keep focus, which they probably let slip previously which has cost them cups in the past.

I always feel that the domestic treble in Scotland is something that is very often an option and in a period of dominance, Celtic (or Rangers previously) are capable of doing it every few years. In the last 25 years it has been done 5 times, twice by Celtic under O'Neill and now Rodgers, and 3 times by Rangers under Walter Smith, Dick Advocaat and Alex McLeish. I think that to prove himself there Rodgers really has to sustain this unbeaten run, keep winning trophies and improve their performances in Europe, if he is to raise his stock as with all due respect to the managers named, few of those have had much success outside of Scotland.
