He is a bit of a cock though
If he was your mate he’s be the one that you didn’t really recall how he was part of your group. And when he turned up to the pub everyone would inwardly grimace.

Rewrite all the history you want, but absolutely no one can deny we were awesome that season. He proved he can make a team win.
Now, the ability to hold that over time and grow a proper squad is in question. But he is no way a snake oil salesman. Its disingenuous to say the least.
He was quite luckyish to have the world's best player on acid though, it kinda helped

if i was a Leicester fan then I would be reasonably happy with this appointment.
When I lived in London, I had a season ticket to Fulham (reasons being, it was across the road from my flat, it was something cheap like £289, (when a ticket for just the LFC game alone was something like £69)) and it was in the "neutral" section - which was actually an unofficial extended away end for the big games. I went to Fulham v Rodgers Swansea team and I thought they were feckin brilliant. They won 3-0. Joe Allen and Gylfi ran the show that day and their passing and moving was actually Barca-esq. I was genuinely excited when LFC signed Rodgers up. And the first 2 seasons of him being with us, i thought he could be a potential legend.
It went tits up for him when he tried to evolve his style of football. He probably read an article about Pep playing a different way after he went to Munich and thought that was the in-vogue thing to do.
For me though, what summed up his whole LFC tenure was his transfer dealings. When he joined LFC, he made it crystal clear that Andy Carroll may as well **** off because his style of football was simply not a single percent compatible with Andy Carroll. He wouldn't even get on the bench. Carroll joined West Ham on loan - and in reality we were just jammy that he played a few games for them that season because if he was too busy falling off bar stools, then West Ham would never have parted with £17.5m for Big Andy. That was all fine at the time - and even though Borini looked like he was a sack of ****, at least he was a guy who ran at people. When Brendan signed Sturridge and Coutinho for a combined £20m 6 months later, then it all looked like we were cooking on gas with clear direction. Suarez was red hot as well and all was good. Fast forward a couple of years and he signed Benteke for £35m. Jesus Christ. When he asked whoever was the money man at the club at the time for some Benteke-cash, they should have pulled up the handbrake on the fella there and then. He was literally after doing a full 180 on his whole philosophy - and had they saved the powerpoint presentation that he did when he got the job, then they would have seen how the whole project went tits up.
I do think though that he is a good manager for bringing through young players. And the likes of Chilwell (if he doesn't **** off to Man City), Madison, Barnes and Tielemans (if he stays there) will all become better players under Rodgers. Also, I think he tries to play a bit of football. At least it isn't a dog**** Big Sam, Pardew, Pulis type ****e. I think it may just be Dyche on his own in that camp soon.

I always thought maybe someone like Spurs would take a punt on him if Pochettino left. All he has to do is challenge to be "best of the rest" outside the top 6, play progressive football, and he'll be a hotshot manager to go for again.
I asked a Spurs mate of mine who he wanted if Pochettino left. He said Howe, Dyche, or Benitez, but not Rodgers. I said, 'Rafa, fine, but you'd prefer Howe or Dyche over Rodgers?' Weird.
