If he is to get more time he'll need to start getting some performances and stop making the same mistakes game after game that everyone who follows the club can see.
A trip away to Bordeaux would be a good place to start. If we lose that and then to Norwich, then I reckon he's gone.Modifying post.

I was amongst one of the first posters to want him out but I think he should be given at least 10 games to get these players gelled. You can't keep adding 4/5 players to the first team and then expect them to play like they know each other.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostIs there anyone who'd argue that he deserves more time?
He has risked everything on benteke and co so 5 games isn't enough. He needs at least 10.
The biggest problem for me is the lack of any attacking threat. What are our attacking patterns, we have no pace or penetration so our entire game is played infront of teams back four. Rodgers should ask himself what sort of goal his version of Liverpool would score week in week out and go about setting up the team to make that happen.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

And whilst he does there is always the chance he starts getting results. Did similar last year until we fell flat on our faces.Originally posted by Rigadon View PostNot sure anyone could argue that he deserves more time but I think he will get more time - at least until the end of October, possibly end of December.
The danger if you don't act Immidiately is you miss the chance to act. Villa & Norwich at home. Doubt we will lose. Followed by the Derby. 2 wins and a loss? Still not getting sacked. We will once again finish just out the top 4 and end of season he will get the boot.Forwards.......

Unfortunately this seems to be the reality with LFC now. The club that used to exist to win trophies is long dead. We now exist to earn ££££ and balance the books. When it comes to LFC as a business FSG are ambitious, however when it comes to football they a clearly not. As long as the TV money keeps coming on and we can sell a star every summer to fund our transfers that will do them.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostI don't think the club have the appetite to appoint someone with the backgrounds of Klopp or Ancelotti. There's a reason fans mockingly say we'll probably get Eddie Howe or Garry Monk. We try and be too clever with everything, when some things are just blatantly obvious. Rodgers should've been sacked after the 6-1 defeat to Stoke.
I wouldn't expect either of them (Klopp/Ancelotti) to come until January, or wait until the summer to see their full range of options anyway. We've just spent a shed load of money too. It's crazy.
Pretty much all our transfers this summer was funded by sterling and Suarez funded last summer's.Last edited by Leyton388; 12-09-15, 08:23 PM.

That's what I was thinking. We go on a good run and things look rosy, and then the deck of cards come crashing down when the pressure is ramped up because of a big game which could give us a psychological boost for the top 4.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostAnd whilst he does there is always the chance he starts getting results. Shut the **** up you Manc ****s!
Losing today was expected, losing to West Ham at home wasn't. Like others have said there was no clean slate in the summer, he had/has to show some improvement and there isn't any. Today's result is not a barometer of where we're at, but other games have shown that we're not making any progress at all.

Ibe aside we don't have any real wide players, whatever system we play we need them to stretch sides. At the moment it looks like we will play Coutinho, Firmino, Lallana, Ings, Origi, Ibe or maybe even Sturridge there, most of whom aren't suited to that position.
I don't have anything against Firmino but I can't help but feel that the money would have been better spent on a real wide forward. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
