I heard a rumour.. ( and you know how these things go around so don't quote me on this ) that Gerrard was in a bit of a bad way, he was going to quit international football and only be able to play 15 - 20 games a season because his body isn't up to it any more.
Of course that could just be Chinese whispers.. I said at the time to my mate that it was BS... so I hope thats all it was...

I posted quite a while ago that the key hole surgery Gerrard had a coulpe of years ago would weaken his groin permanently as other tissues would be damaged.

I didn;t want to post this but I heard the same thing.A bluenose mate of mine who has some impeccable info from there training ground was in the players lounge on Saturday at the Blackburn/Everton game and was told the same thing by one of the Everton Physios, Said thats why we bought Henderson as Gerrard is pretty ****ed.
WHile i cast doubt about it as it came from the Bluenoses, the bloke who said it is very straight down the line with info and not one for tittle/tattle._____________________________________

Also heard this. But I think the fact that a lot of people have means it's more than likely malicious rumours than actual fact; which I think would be far better concealed if trueI saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

If what I'm led to believe is true, his injury is this:
Unfortunately for us fans and Stevie him self a cure fir this condition and playing football are not compatible, it may repair enough to play a game or two but ultimately its not an injury that is going to go away, at best Stevie will be a bit part player in the future, eg play one in every 3-5 games, at worst he will be forced to retire.Comment
