Hopefully we lose v Arsenal to 10 Lovren mistakes and he comes back in.

Perhaps he threw his toys out of the pram like at Everton and hasn't taken the news of being dropped very well?Originally posted by Buzzo View PostThe thing which doesn't stack up is Sakho not even making the bench. OK, perhaps Brendan prefers Lovren to start, but nothing can convince me that Toure deserves a place on the bench ahead of Sakho.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. IF that were the case I doubt he'd be offered a 100k a week 5 year contract.Originally posted by Scratch View PostI would say a new contract would not be offered if the manager had no plans to utilise the player, as that would be just pissing good money after bad.
If Sakho has been dropped, I would imagine it is due to attitude or questioning the managers decisions regarding being second choice (or his treatment of Mario???), and this is a "I am the boss, do not question me" response from Brendan.
Its not as if Sakho has said anything either, be it cryptic twitter BS or "says a friend of" type quotes in the papers.

I think it's only fair to Brendan that we assume he's preferring Lovren, Skrtel and Kolo for footballing reasons rather than anything else. So, the evidence would suggest - to me at least - that Rodgers doesn't rate Sakho very highly because he prefers 3 clowns.Or it could just be that he does really rate him but isn't happy with something about him at the moment, be it attitude, fitness, focus (with a new baby), application in training, whatever...Originally posted by Lecter View PostRodgers might have fallen out with Sakho on a personal level. He did the same with Agger & Carroll according to them
2 games really isn't enough time to tell, particularly when we've had 2 clean sheets. If he's still being frozen out in a month's time then maybe it points to something serious. At the moment, who knows what the reason is?

Why not? You punish a player by dropping him from the squad, but he's still part of the future of the club, and he won't be dropped forever....he may not come straight back into the first 11, he'll have to earn that place, but if he's still part of the manager's plans (which we have no proof that he isn't...the manager has his preferred starting pairing, but with the amount of games we play, Sakho will get his chance) then offer him a contract.Originally posted by redmike65 View PostIF that were the case I doubt he'd be offered a 100k a week 5 year contract.

The fact that neither the club nor Sakho have said anything is good, it's an internal matter and all we can do is speculate.

Talking about something is not the same as wanting it to happen.Originally posted by Chris View PostHopefully we lose v Arsenal to 10 Lovren mistakes and he comes back in.
It's clearly a discussion point, and this is a forum to discuss football. Furthermore this is a thread within that forum to discuss the player relevant to the discussion point.
Or am I all ****ing back to front on how this all works?
Dipping in all the time posting that anyone who has ANY doubts obviously wants said player to have a **** game and the team to lose is ****ing dull.Modifying post.

'As usual'
Yeah, it's some kind of masochism. I love football, well I love the game. I'm bored of the transfers and the money. Watching Chelsea and City spend bazillions when ever the going gets tough - it's not the game I grew up watching.
But - Fair enough.Last edited by Buzzo; 21-08-15, 11:52 AM.Modifying post.
