Because Brendan does not look at it like that, sat in the stand, on the bench or at home supping tea doesn't matter, he has a squad to pick from and he bases his team/squad selection on a number of criteria Form/fitness/desire in training etc and also his tactics for the next match.

The fact he is currently not selected will bear no influence on the size of the contract he is offered, either he is wanted (new contract) or not (Mario, Borini). The size of the contract depends on your standing overall in the game (Market worth, International player etc) and on the ability and aggressiveness of your agent when haggling with a bumpkin like Ayre.

Can we merge the Sakho and Lovren threads into one, titled "Our centre backs" as it's basically the same ****e being discussed ad infinitum.

            Are we winning?

Funnily enough I was thinking the same.

Having separate threads for 'the defence', 'the midfield', 'the attack' etc. could be a good way to merge all discussions?

I'd go one further and merge every thread in this forum.
                Oh I don't know.

You only said that because he's Shaggy's mate. Low blow.

I think it would make more sense to just have two threads in the football forum - "Positivity" and "Negativity"

That way we can just all take sides and only have discussion with like-minded posters

ahhh i see someone (Kloppity Klopp) has had a word to the club... thus saving and keeping Sakho in the squad till when he takes over the reins ..

Just delete the football forum, will solve all problems

Or scrap the forum altogether and just have a poll with Yay!! or Boo!! as the two options.

Or we can have two threads -

                            "Cogent Discussion" and "CJ".

                              That's crossed my mind also.

                              Negativity FTW

Sakho's expected to wait & see how much game time he gets over the coming weeks & months before deciding whether to sign,Sakho will be offered a new five-year contract on improved terms. He is unlikely to rush into a decision. #LFC (James Pearce)
