Absolute nail on the head. The clean sheets may be used to defend their selection, but the team came away from those conceding zero in spite of them, not because of them.Originally posted by Chris View PostThem two in the team and a player of this quality on the bench or not even in the squad. It really is utter, utter madness.
It was a nice little clean sheet run but hardly error free with Skrtel playing Ramsey onside, the **** up with Milner in the penalty area, Lovren's dodgy marking v Bournemouth for the disallowed goal, Skrtel's pass back v Stoke etc etc, time to change it. They are both two of the worst centre halfs in the division.
They're ****ing ****. Lovren more so.

Didier Deschamps concerned for Mamadou Sakho
Speaking on RMC, French national team boss Didier Deschamps had his say on Liverpool central defender Mamadou Sakho’s difficult club situation:
“The last friendly match he did was in early August. To find himself in the squad five weeks after being in full control of his capabilities, it is not possible.
The guys know that. But Liverpool will be playing in the Europa League and have weeks where there will be three matches, so he will have more chances to play. Aside from that it is his choice but of course the club needs to let him go too.
Apparently, that is not the option that has been chosen because they want him to extend his contract. But obviously Mamadou is suffering from this situation because he is a competitor and it is frustrating for him.”

Nothing that should surprise us though, top international sides are not going to pick players not plying their trade on a regular basis.
The best thing he can do is put in a performance when the opportunity arises, like tomorrow, and hope its enough.
Or wait for Brendan to get the chop."I will make the boys feel your support"

This is where I feel for sakho.
He's under pressure to produce, coming into a squad low on confidence and no doubt a 'weaker' starting XI, partnering most likely a well past it toure. One little slip up and he's bombed out again.....with the added issue, that even if he goes and plays a ****ing blinder tomorrow night, he will be dropped again Sunday and it wil be back to lovren and skrteli own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

To me if hes able to play he should playOriginally posted by Fredo View PostHe just needs to keep himself fit. Doesn't help when after a sustained run in the team, he picks up a niggle.
We are a better defence when he plays than when he doesnt, whether thats 1 game or 10 games or 30 games per season it doesnt matter
Persisting with Lovren just because he isnt injury prone isnt a good enough reason to play him week in week out. Nothing will improve Lovren and if anything game time will only show us how **** he actually isBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
