It wasn't so much what klopp said but the way he said it. He seemed very irritated and you got the impression that this is the final straw breaking.

I think this is one of those things you can see both ways - if he has trained well then Klopp a) clearly doesn't want to play him and b) has tarnished his reputation in the media. From Klopp's point of view Sakho clearly hasn't shown the seriousness he demands. It's possible that a parting of the ways is best for everyone, its a shame though as he is probably our best defender.

I think he probably still is talent-wise. But the work that Lovren, Matip, Clyne and Milner have done to fit a system makes them clearly better choices at the minute. Your point is a fair one - who cares how talented you are if you can't show it consistently on the pitch.

I suspect that Klopp has spelled out how he wants 100% effort and focus early on in pre-season. And Sakho obviously hasn't been giving that. What makes that all the more galling is the fact that Sakho has the most to prove after he borrowed some pills from Kolo's missus.

Sakho was cleared but in reality he still ****ed up. And his response to that has obviously been ****e.

Sakho is a bit marmite for most. You either rate him big time or you don't. He's been a very silly boy and unfortunately a bit of a pattern has emerged in his career so far and it's far from positive. Whatever happens in the future for me I thought his display in the man u tie was one of the best I have seen in years.

Personally I love him and think he's our best defender, he also gets us as a club, many probably won't feel the same. Although Lovren has improved hugely, I'd still rather have Sakho in the defence alongside Matip.
