Im trying to think of a worse pundit. At least he seems to have developed his own opinions now... Probably due to the splinters up his bum from his earlier fence sitting career.

I cannot help thinking that even a slightly dodgy Sakho is a massive upgrade on Lucas. A couple of extra points could be the difference between Champions League and another summer of "the right players being unavailable".

Sounds like he is having another good game today

watched the match on Saturday. Thought Sakho was clumsy, wasteful in possession and basically a liability in defence.

Well that would have been the report from some fans if he was still playing for us, but he was excellent for them. Had Rondon in his back pocket which isn't saying much, but WBA are always dangerous from crosses and set-pieces and Sakho's positioning and defending was top class.

Passing wasn’t as accurate as you’d expect due to Fat Sam’s long ball tactics, but he nearly created a goal with one lovely long pass.

Ahh well, no point crying over spilt milk and it will be a shame if he plays a part in saving Fat Sam's ass, but hopefully we'll at least get a few quid back for him in the summer.

If you consider Sakho to be a new signing, then it would be low-risk as Klopp knows what he gives. Plus he would cost us nothing!!! In reality, Klopp should have a meeting with Sakho at the end of the season and if the guy changes his approach / attitude, then he might be given another chance. Maybe Sakho will have a look at the state of Palace as a club and realise that LFC is a great place to be. Hopefully anyway.

For me he is one of the players that LFC own that wouldn't actually look out of place in any of our rivals starting eleven.

It would make some sense. Though we still leaked plenty of goals with him in the team last season. He and Matip as the back two would be intriguing.

last year we had Skrtel and Moreno a lot as well.... i think you are right, Matip + Sakho would be good to see.

I would love to give him a second chance. Maybe 3rd chance? I think he's earned it with his palace performances. But I just can't see Klopp having him back even with our lack of quality options. That ship has sailed sadly.

We've really no idea why he's been banished so the prospects for him being brought back are also unknown. But you've got to this that bridges have been burnt on both sides. Only think I'm confident about is that if we replace him his replacement will be a cheaper and likely inferior player.

Win-win situation for us if the link is genuine. Cash + Sakho for VVD would be ideal, but even if they do decide to sell him elsewhere, we should have a Torres/Carroll situation as we know they need a CB and have the cash. £20m is good business for Sakho, but if VVD goes for £40m+, there is no way he's worth more than double that of Sakho.
