Not only that, but it would free up a big chunk of transfer kitty to put into another position

You would wonder how he feels about Klopp. Certainly seems to be putting the work in at Palace anyways. At the very worst, his transfer fee is increasing.

Can't help but hope he builds bridges as you're going to find it hard getting another CB as good for 20m who is premiership proven.

damn right sure a decent CB is few and far between these days.

Has Klopp actually said there is no way back? From what I remember wasn't it something on the lines of 'he has to go loan to get back into the team'....words to that affect?
Oh triffic......so while you're up the road jollying it up, it's touch your toes time for Rodney

I've ony seen his Palace performances on MOTD but he looks a solid centre back and a leader which is exactly what we need, I hope whatever issues there were between him and Klopp can be resolved and he can put in performances like he has been at Palace for us.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It takes one bad egg - Maybe Sakho is Brendans envelope man - Seems strange both Klopp and Rogers had an issue with him -

Anyhow - you trusst the man in charge and he appears to be getting most right so far.....
I make no apologies, this is me

Didn't we sign Sakho about a year after Brendan's envelope comment?

Klopp has shown himself to be ruthless with players in Germany, and generally if a player burns bridges with him then that's it.

I agree with you that at the end of the day it is the manager that calls the shots, but would like to think that if Sakho showed that he was willing to do things Klopp's way that there might be a way back for him.

He's a really good defender. I got the why Klopp needed to sack him off but hopefully there's a way back for him (keep the charity stuff - we all love that - just don't do so much of the dicking around stuff)

He's great but if I'm honest, I trust Klopp in having the best interests of the balance of personalities in the squad. Sakho seems a larger than life character and maybe that destabilised the make up of the squad.

Management is more tricky than just lumping together the eleven best performers. Klopp is one of the most astute mangers and motivators I've ever heard talk in sport, so I suspect there to have be a good reason. Look at DBF at Man U, he knew when to get rid of an ego that had grown to a size that became a threat to the culture of the squad.

not the best injury record, as well as the discipline stuff, if we got £20 million for him and bring someone else in.

Van dijk to chelsea, sakho to Southampton, Zouma to us. Easy this transfer lark.

Zouma looks to have tons of potential but would Chelsea sell to us?

I also wonder why he cannot get into the Chelsea first team this season after coming back from his injury in September or October.

If we were to go for a young CB with a very similar profile to Zouma, then I wonder if Klopp would look to the Bundesliga and someone like Tah. We have been linked with him and he is a big strong lad who can play a bit.

I think the only reason he doesnt get in is the system. Azpiluecata is having a great season and Luiz is too, both seem to suit the 3 at the back well.

I think they may sell to us as he is apparently wanting a summer move, Big unit as well.

Rate Zouma good defender and has some pace as well. They'll want a chunk of money for him I guess but under Conte can see them more amenable to doing business with us than under Maureen
