Same.Originally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View PostInitially I thought our stance of £30m was a bit too high, but since then we've been quoted £70m for VVD, Ake has moved for £20m and Keane for £31m.
Sakho was excellent for Palace during his time there, he's 27 and proven himself to be a top player, yes he has baggage but given the circumstances £30m seems fair.
It's an inflated market. We only want to pay £50m for Keita and they want £70m. All these transfers are massive ballache.

Ultimately, he's only worth what someone is willing to pay, and there is no stampede at our door.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostSakho is worth £30m in this market so it will be interesting to see how the his plays out.
Injury may only partly explain that, but he's not a player in demand by any means.
Don't be mugs by any means, but if he has no future here, the club need to secure a deal."I will make the boys feel your support"

Call me cynical, but to preserve his reputation with the fans, I think Sakho is letting them think he would sign when he knows there is realistically no way they'll pay £30m or match his wages.Originally posted by Tatterdemalion View PostI think it's because he 'has a deal' with the club, but no detail anywhere on what this is. HAVE PALACE BEEN TAPPING UP OUR PLAYER?
There will be much better clubs than Palace willing to take him on.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I don't, but we may as well close down any transfer in/out speculation on the site, if we were dealing in known and proven facts.Originally posted by RedReet View PostHow do you know?
.......
All things being equal, I don't think it's unfair to suggest Palace as the main interested party. Maybe there's a whole host of European heavyweights waiting to move in and turn it into a 30-40m super transfer battle royale for an inconsistent and apparently troublesome player.
Doubt it though.
We probably have a figure we'd like as well as a figure we don't mind. Its not an indemand transfer by any means."I will make the boys feel your support"

No, it doesn't have to be fact, I'm just wondering what you are basing your opinion on?Originally posted by McDermotX View PostI don't, but we may as well close down any transfer in/out speculation on the site, if we were dealing in known and proven facts.

I've seen him linked to a few clubs, even though it is most likely made up ****, but just wondering how you come to teh conclusion he's not wanted 4 days into the transfer window? If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I think the club will hold out for the £30m for as long as possible.Originally posted by McDermotX View PostWe probably have a figure we'd like as well as a figure we don't mind. Its not an indemand transfer by any means.
Could come down to a game of chicken in the end. We know that clubs will become more desperate in August when they miss out on their primary targets and clubs know we'll de desperate to offload rather than rot in the reserves again, so could come down to who blinks first.
Whether we get the £30m or not is another story, but I'll be very surprised if there aren't a lot of clubs monitoring teh situation to see how it develops. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I never said he's not wanted.....just that he's only worth was someone was willing to pay. Any ideas of valuation against the likes of VVD or Stones or whatever can be dismissed very easily.
Since he's fallen out of favour there's only been a hint of a handful of teams even remotely connected and one of those had bounced him out to us under an air of, shall we say, unprofessional-like behavior which has been in evidence during his time with us.
Ultimately, there appears limited interest......same as there was back when he was told he had no future with us. Certainly nothing along the lines of what some of our fanbase suggest Sakho's quality should command.
If someone else comes in and jacks up the price.....fantastic, cause Klopp's got no time for him."I will make the boys feel your support"

I really like Sakho but as pointed out above, his performances on the pitch cannot be taken in isolation.
Hopefully he knuckled down at CP (it was only six months) and they've enough money as not many clubs usually dish out £30m for a CB.
I reckon he'll end up there and it'll be for about £20-25m with a range of add ons and sell ons.

Like **** there's been a flood of enquires....Palace want him but not at £30millionOriginally posted by Cormack74 View PostWell great if we really have received "a flood of enquiries" but in this world where nothing stays secret for more than about 5 minutes it seems incredible that there hasn't been any publicity around them.
