Slightly off in the first half, and conceded a couple loose fouls, but grew back into the game excellently.
Some towering clearances and fine passing moments.

Stick or twist now for City ?

      100%

Loads of people still try to make out he's a "liability on the ball" - there's not a more wrong 'opinion' in football. Every time he looks to thread a ball into midfield, always to feet. Fizzes it in. Love it. His pass completion rate this season is around 92% too. Fantastic player to have around.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Calm and solid on the ball. Absolute bull defensively too.

Didn't bring the aerial presence that we hoped for, but excellent with every other aspect.

tbh Skrtel was dealing with Andy. Sakho did his bit quite well.

And Skrtel was ****ing immense today

I thought that was the most solid he has looked, so far.

Apart from a couple of forward passes where I clenched my buttocks, he did not put a foot wrong.

Makes me feel a little better about Agger being out. Obviously not the best time to be changing a partnership which had stabilised our defence, but things could be a lot worse, and he could just step up to the challenge.

He's a fantastic passer of the ball. Very rarely loses it. I'm not sure where that school of thought he was poor on the ball came from, but it was ludicrously wrong.
                  Are we winning?

Fantastic return game for Sakho, what great early distribution. I cannot recall him giving it away once. Keep him in for the City game!

He LOOKS ungainly, but there is no evidence that he is or that he is a liability in any way

There were a number of occasions today when he came forward with the ball, then came a little further, then a bit more; then passed it quite far forward along the ground at pace. Which is great, but I was thinking that if the pass was intercepted (it never was) then he'd be well out of position

                      But they weren't
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Hasn't delivered on the high price tag yet, but I think in time he will. Did a decent job today in tough circumstances. Never really got to grips with Carroll but was steady enough. Average performance, but considering lack of game time and injury lay off, very impressive. And he won't have ever played in a game like that before.

struggled in the first half all right but he's rusty and it showed. Much better in the second, tough game to come back into.

A bit harsh to call it an average performance mate. He was much much better than average. Did as well as anyone across the back and arguably was the best distributor of the ball from defence. Hopefully he will take a lot of confidence from that performance and if selected for the City showdown he will perform even better. IMO he already is a snip at £18m, absolutely delighted we have him here.

Agree with Tee, thought he had a good performance and his distribution was good too, despite his 'ungainly' stance. Looks fecking fierce too.

Sakho is miles better than Agger.
Younger, quicker, stronger, better in the air and probably very similar when passing the ball.

If Sakho got YNWA tattooed on his knuckles everyone would rave about him as well.
