His forward passing is excellent, I think he only gave one away today. His ungainliness belies how good a passer and how composed he is - let's hope he's here for the long haul.

He's done well in both games since his return to the side. I also like that he's a much more physically imposing player than Agger.

Good game from him today....always looked to move the ball forward which is always nice to see, although it led to some back-pedalling from us on a couple of occasions when it was the wrong option.
One instance that stood out for me though was the one time he was sucked out of the back line (might have been Dzeko, but haven't rematched it again to check) and it led to some discord at the back and was left to Skrtel to make a last ditch sliding tackle. Sometimes you need to let your man drop off and not allow yourself to be pulled around.
Seem to remember something like that happening earlier in the season at Anfield (can't remember the opposition....think Cissokho was playing at LB which might explain it), but it's a small slight on what was another fine display from him. Some excellent ball winning challenges, and performed very well against set pieces etc etc

It is incredible. I've seen (admittedly very bitter) non LFC fans today going on about how **** he is, how terrible he is on the ball and that winning the league with him in the side would be like us winning the CL with Djimi Traore. Haha!

That was a rash challenge on Dzeko before Dzeko dived but otherwise it was a top performance again.

It's gonna be one of them labels that sticks for years, like Glen Johnson "cant defend" despite hardly ever getting taken to the cleaners by any winger he comes up against, Pepe Reina was "a clown" for years despite 10s and 10s of amazing performances because he had that mental clanger in the 3-0 defeat to Everton etc. And Sakho is "**** on the ball" despite running that game at home to Cardiff from centre back, doing all these crazy back heels and flicks and barely giving the ball away all season.

Mad how - in my experience at least - the online fans tone about Sakho has changed dramatically since the last couple of games of the season. They probably saw Carra & Neville talking about him dropping deep and decided he's wank. But all over my Twitter timeline and other LFC forums I've browsed the tone has changed dramatically - people calling him ****, waste of money, the new Traore, Newcastle defender etc. Please.

Its nonsense, he's going to be crucial for us in the coming seasons. I think the defence will be built around him, he has a the physical presence and talent to be one of the very best

He's big, strong pretty quick and a fantastic passer of the ball. What he needs is someone to build a partnership with, for me that's not Skrtel who's too erratic at the back.

I'd like to see us bring in someone this Summer to be that long term partner, not sure who as it's not just about a "name" coming in but getting the blend right.
