Yep, he was captain up until they signed Thiago Silva.

Have been singing his praises from the moment that we signed him.

It was his first season (actually, half) in a foreign league, with a new team and a new language - oh and we were challenging for the title if you wanted to add any more pressure. To everyone that says he doesn't come across as a leader read my previous sentence again and here lies your reason - give him time and he'll start showing the qualities he shown at PSG that made him so highly rated.

It is clear to see that he has all the assets and ability to be a fantastic defender, and so far the criticism of him is completely unfair and unwarranted. People moaning about his passing need to look at his stats - he has the highest pass % of any of our defenders - by quite a margin IIRC.

He's a young lad with outstanding potential and given time he will turn out to be a top class player. Yes at times he had a few rash moments but that's to be expected in his first season here. Anyone who expected more than that from him was being unrealistic.

      Love the guy

Are they playing a weakened team? Is that why he's captain? Is he likely to start for them in the World Cup? That'd be fantastic for us if he did!

He is the future of our defence and a future captain. Has been very impressive to date and I just don't get the doubts over him. Next season he will own it.

He has captained France in two of their last three games, most notable of those games being the World cup play off against the Ukraine.

One thing France are not short of at the moment is quality young centre backs, but I would expect Sakho and Mangala to start for them in Brazil
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

              Lloris captain, but injured.

Boy's got some skillz! Watch till the end where he shows Pogba how it's done.

No, he's gangly, has poor technique, and can't pass it.
                  Are we winning?

Bloody hell that was seriously impressive. Especially when you're showing up Pogba.

Notorious for not being able to speak any English those Europeans, dunno why we bother

Surprised he's started both games. Deschamps seems to be toying with the idea of starting him.

If it wasn't for the fact that they acclimatise to playing in the league better than domestic players currently playing in it then there would be no reason to sign any of them at all.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
