Not good news that but Rodgers wasn't keen on Skrtel for 6 months either and he played his way in. Hopefully Sakho can too.

Sakho has everything in his locker to be a fantastic defender, he didn't do a great deal wrong last season and will be better for it. I'll be amazed if Lovren and Sakho aren't the long term defensive partnership for us

They should be but they won't be at the start. He'll have to play his way in or Skrtel plays his way out.

It's all relative though. If Rodgers didn't want him but got him anyway then he wasn't calling the shots on any of the other buys either. Including the successful ones. He plays the successful ones though and he will with Sakho if he's good enough. Wonder if Mignolet wasn't his choice either.
