I'm a big fan of Sakho, but it looked like he was mistiming a lot of headers. That was just my observation. I'm sure there will be a stat to show he won 9/10 headers. Everything else was decent.

Sakho played ok - tried to move the ball a bit quicker as the game went on which was important as it was a bit ponderous from the rest.
Oh for a Hansen/Agger type to bring the ball out of defence when teams sit deep.Modifying post.Comment

He did **** all wrong today. How he even gets mentioned for the goal is beyond me. Defenders concede corners or throws all the time in the course of defending, when in doubt get it out as the saying goes. If the team concedes from said set piece it's not the fault of the defender that give it away. Christ.Comment

He doesn't defend. He passes the ball well when we move out of defence but at set pieces and in open play he's lost. He won't make it long term here as a first choice and just doesn't suit this league. Seems a decent guy though so hope he can develop his gameComment

Do any of them defend well consistently or at any point over the last season and a half? Lovren has been pretty poor in every league game so far yet his thread is never bumped. Sakho gets way more than his share of blame whilst doing very little wrong from what I can see.Comment

I think they need time to bed down as a partnership.
We know that Rodgers style will mean we are exposed at times and with a virtually new back 4 that will be highlighted more than ever.
For me Sakho Lovren and Moreno should be given a good run in the side to gel just not sure on RB yet.Comment

I'm surprised at the concern around him in particular. All of our defenders have looked quite dodgy over the last few seasons and I'd say that he's been the most steady of them. The goal we conceded definitely had nothing to do with him and apart from some sketchy moments in the air he was solid enough today. As others say, I think they just need some time playing and playing together and these things should work themselves out.
It was obviously a fairly **** performance all around today, but that's hardly going to be the norm and there were many factors which contributed to that.Comment

I didn't see him hiding from anything. Lovren has at times been like a headless chicken with his attempts to be everywhere and do everything, he needs to be vocal, not Superman. We'll agree to disagree Norbs, Sakho for me gets unfairly singled out.Comment

Lovren has been very poor at LFC so far, Sakho has been ok but IMO no where near as good as as people make out.
Personally i'm worried about us finding a CB pairing. So who's next Sakho & Skrtel?Comment
