Exactly. If he was done at Liverpool we'd be cashing in on him well before the start of the season and probably on his jaunt back from USA. And especially not leaking it with two weeks before the transfer window slams shut.

If he does go on loan I really hope we have a replacement lined up and it's not Lucas.
    Superlative!

Sometimes he's good, sometimes he's atrocious. I've seen him running around like a baby giraffe with no control of his legs enough to not give two hoots about him ever playing for us again.

He's so overrated on this forum.

I've just noticed the link at the top, even Moyes has rejected the chance to take him on loan.

I dont think sakho will go anywhere, because he will look at our centre backs and think he's better than lovren, klavan and hes more available than gomez and more EPL ready than matip. Lucas is a defensive midfielder not a centre back.

on his day sakho is our best centre back and he knows that. Rodgers tried to bomb him out once before and the guy stuck it out.
PSG got shut, Rodgers wasn't convinced, Klopp presumably thinks he's a dick, maybe they're all right, maybe he's just a knob that managers don't want to be around. They'd rather lose a top CB than have him in the group. Who knows?

We're in profit because we sold some superfluous players on the periphery of the first team. Unusually, they were actually worth something this time, largely because of previous transfer failings. I don't think it's part of a financial strategy, other than to get rid of expensive wasters.

Surely the stand can't be coming out of the transfer budget. Last few years we have seriously reduced our wage bill and this year we are looking at a net profit on transfers, i know we have no European football so need to be careful, but still. I'm hoping we are cutting back the squad in numbers this year because of the lack of football and are hoping to get CL next year and have a large budget to get the players we want, however to get into CL we need the team to be good enough, it strikes me as someone trying to be too clever.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'm pretty sure FSG and Ayre made it clear that the Main Stand is paying for itself via corporate boxes and the like.

I think it's just coincidence that the players we've wanted, and the players we've sold, have just happened to result in a positive net spend.

He'll go to Everton on loan, we pay 80% of his wages and they will buy out his contract for about 5m at the end of the season

Give the guy a chance, we were all happy (some even ecstatic) when he came to us with the knowledge that he'd sort us out.

Well like it or not he's doing it his way, there's been some big changes already, we've even made money flogging the dead wood.

Two games in using his team and Boom !!! Aparrenty he doesn't know what he's doing !!!

Be patient you *******s and at least give him until crimble before you start haranging him in earnest

Because we all value Moyes' expert opinion.

You seem to be mistaking Sakho's unorthodox technique as an indicator of performance whilst ignoring what's in front of you (and backed up by numerous statistics) that Sakho is actually pretty darn great on the ball.

Get him the right centre back partner, get his head right and watch our defence improve.

You think its fine that the club ends the window with negative net spend - are they gonna throw a party for the supporters with all the cash they saved?

Might make up for the fact that our former rivals seem a hell of a lot more commited to winning stuff than we are.
So you are dismissing the fact that we’ve signed 2 new CM’s, a new CB and a new keeper? You know for a fact we haven’t tried to sign a LB and are still not actively trying to do so?

So you’d be happier if we kept Benteke on the books so we had a negative spend, or spent and extra £50m on Karius, Matip and Grujic, just so we can have a negative spend? You don’t see it as a positive that we have strengthen the squad massively (the Mane signing alone) without breaking the bank meaning we’ll have cash to spend if we need to in January or more importantly, next year if we have CL to offer and can attract the sort of player that’s worth paying the extra for?

Ahh, good point. I’m sure one of the main stipulations when Klopp signed his new 6 year contract was that he doesn’t ‘win stuff’, no way FSG are committing to that.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

hes one of the worlds top 5 managers and people here think they know better

If Klopp is in your top five then who are the other four and what order would you put the five of them in.

Just curious as I tried to fit just four managers into a top five (along with Klopp) after I read your post and found it difficult to come up with an definitive five that included Klopp in that top five.

Two names were very easy to put into the top five, but after that it got a bit tighter
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Lovren looked iffy as the left centre back again last night. Against Burton.
