    People don't get him.

He's unorthodox and looks ungainly. People are basing it just on that and not on what he actually does on the pitch. He's better than decent in the air, positionally he's sound, his timing is impeccable and his passing is progressive.

It's not just that. When every commentator says 'he's an accident waiting to happen' or 'he's wasteful in posession', that's enough for most viewers. They don't even bother paying attention to what actually goes on on the pitch.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Didn't make Europas tie of the round.

          Coutinho did.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Terrific performance and the makings of a great partnership with DL hopefully.

He should be captain. Natural leader, big character.

Mamadou Sakho: I never wanted to leave Liverpool - it goes differently for me after Klopp replaced Rodgers

                          08:03, 22 MAR 2016 UPDATED 08:03, 22 MAR 2016

                          BY JOE RIMMER

Sakho loving life at 'fabulous' Liverpool - and being back in the France set-up

Liverpool FC defender Mamadou Sakho insists he never contemplated leaving Anfield, saying he's loving life on 'fabulous' Merseyside.

And the Frenchman says that even Brendan Rodgers, who often overlooked him, couldn’t drive him away from Liverpool.

The 26-year-old was speaking to French outlet RMC on his return to international duty this week, and also explained why he’s impressed with the man who replaced Rodgers at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp.

On his return to the international set-up, he said: “Yes, it’s nice to be in the selection. With the coach at Liverpool (Jurgen Klopp), it goes differently for me.

“He’s very human, super close to his players and all the members of the club. He is very kind.

"We feel he is very expressive but as we said from the beginning, this is really not to be mean to us. Rather, it is to encourage us.

“In football, a lot can happen off the field. The most important thing is to stay focused, serious. The former coach (Brendan Rodgers) made the choices. I have accepted. I always remained myself and smiling in training."

Sakho struggled to break into the team at the start of the season, as Rodgers preferred Dejan Lovren and Martin Skrtel at the heart of his defence.

But Klopp's arrival at Liverpool has allowed Sakho to become one of the first names on the teamsheet - and a cult hero among supporters.

Ask if he contemplated leaving Anfield, he said: "Honestly not. I always felt good in Liverpool. When I was in France, I didn’t gauge the real impact of this club’s history. Once I set foot inside, it’s fabulous. There’s a healthy atmosphere. The team is young and talented.

“Honestly, I really like this city, these fans and with this magnificent stadium. I am someone who likes stability, it suits me perfectly."
