My only concern is I don't see any of the players brought in as starters, Lallana included although I think when he does play the quality won't drop much if at all which I suppose was missing badly last year.

We have a first 11 capable of winning the league, it was just the replacements off the bench. When Henderson was suspended we had no one to come in.

Its about making the squad better now and options from the bench to change games.

yeah with alex -

for me our 'current' starting XI (i include suarez for now) was pretty good. Prob missing a top left back and some 'legs' in midfield to help henderson out.

it's the overall squad which lacked quality/depth which needed improving.

providing the Can deal is 100% done - then it's look at getting a left back in and potentially a centre half....


all of which was wanted/needed before any hint of suarez going. So get them done and we'll be in better position.....


the suarez situation is seperate - it will be a shame to see him go, but if he does for say £50m and Sanchez - well we'd have a better squad with some quality players with a nett spend of about £20m
