Mentioned in the Sterling thread a few weeks ago that if fit, Lallana will get more goals and assists than Sterling. He's certainly gearing up to do that so far. Definitely confident that he'll have a better games to goals/assist ratio than Sterling anyway.
Was also thinking after watching Garcia on LFC TV, that Lallana could be a more consistent version of him next year. He's certainly got the skill and the goals, just need to hope he starts getting them on the big occasions. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He really impressed me tonight. I was sat right behind the trajectory of that goal so saw the move to get space & saw him hit the shot perfectly. He had a few chances & could have had another on another day.Originally posted by RedReet View PostMentioned in the Sterling thread a few weeks ago that if fit, Lallana will get more goals and assists than Sterling. I always felt Lallana was a decent player and that we weren't seeing the best of him last season because of the injuries and a lack of a pre-season. Hopefully this season he can show us what he is capable of
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think there should be room for both of themOriginally posted by Rich View PostSerious question: Does he keep Coutinho out of the side? The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I don't think anyone keeps Coutinho out of our side if he's fit & in form.Originally posted by Rich View PostSerious question: Does he keep Coutinho out of the side?
I see Lallana as more competition for Firminho... I wonder if we'll ever see all 3 in the same team.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

We definitely have options now. If we wanted to play 4231 we have 5 players now who can fill the two holding roles. Milner, Henderson, Can, Lucas and Allen could all be capable of holding if we wanted to play Lallana, Firminho and Coutinho as 3 play-makers behind Sturridge or Benteke.
We have tons of options now and im definitely feeling more optimistic than I was when Gerrard left

With Sturridge out, we could start the season with 1 striker (Benteke) and those three behind himOriginally posted by MrMichael View PostI don't think anyone keeps Coutinho out of our side if he's fit & in form.

Ings looked lively and aware, made good runs, should have had a goal (some good saves made) and put one on a plate for Henderson. Not bad for a totally **** League 1 standard player...Originally posted by SB View PostAnd based solely on what I saw last night it would be Ings over Orighi for the strikers spot.
Then again it is just pre-season and Brissie Roar aren't top PL standard but they are lower PL standard and so I am hopeful for this season! Was muß, das muß.
