He's looked lively and done some brilliant stuff everytime I've seen him but gets the ball about once every 10 minutes.
I've watched bits of their games too, you're right, proper snoozefest. He easily stands out as their best player though, which is annoying as they often waste him by playing him out wide.

    He's rapid though. 'Jet heeled'.

Their midfield is terrible, they have no creativity whatsoever and he lacks proper support to make the meaningful contribution.

Vs Porto (home and away) he had no shots on the goal.

Also he is played out of position as a left winger but I suppose playing regularly vs not playing is still a good thing for his development.

He'll be playing vs Lukaku who lost his place in Belgium NT to Origi during the WC.

          This will be interesting.

What a load of crap, would prefer to recall him in January if he hardly plays. We'll have more games in cups.

So, ahhh not that we can change it now, and it was a condition of sale to us it seems, but on the basis of what we saw playing up front on his own at the World Cup I'd have said Origi could be getting game time for us at the moment....

I agree. We badly need someone like him at the moment.

I've not been keeping tabs on him (apart from coming into this thread) but by the sounds of it it seems silly for him to be on the bench for them when he could be playing for us.

He does start for them (I think he's been sub once or twice). He's got three goals so far, which makes him their top goal scorer. I think in terms of his long term development it is the right decision for him to have another full season there.

He's only a kid and to ask him to come in and perform and goal in our current goal shy setup would probably have been counter productive for him.

I think it's a wise decision as well. He is not quite there yet from the games I've seen. Still to pass the 10 league goal mark for Lille, and while looking promising I also believe it's a bit much hoping for such a big goalscoring impact from him right now.

I think there is more reason in playing Borini a bit more this season giving him a chance next to Mario now Sturridge is injured...
