I think he's almost doing a decoy job at times for the other two with his movement. He can be frustrating though.

      Fine pass for Milner's goal.

Weird player - has anyone got any idea what his best position is? Not a 9 and not a 10 imo. He does a job as a false nine but not sure how he'd describe himself.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

We need a proper goalscorer, an out and out striker, and he isn't that I fear that Mane and Salah will be patchy in their goal scoring and to work with that we need someone who can score tap-ins or scruffy goals and that isn't the type of playe Firmino is, he is a quality player but I don't like him in this position.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yeah. He's in a supporting pressing role. That front three doesn't give me much cause for concern to be honest. Might like to see a bit of interchange but we've much bigger problems in other areas really.

His work rate is fantastic. He's crucial for our transitional play in the final third. I don't mind him missing sitters a few times. He's an automatic choice in Klopp's preferred system.

Go on then, explain his role in Klopp's preferred system and why he's ideal for it.

That was a hard game for Firmino tonight. They are a physical, fast, well built, organised team. Even Salah got caught by them a few times for pace. Whilst I suggested Solanke to start I think they would have dealt with him (they looked like a team who would be comfortable dealing with a striker they can see)

Tonight wasn't his most effective game but he did do well dropping off and doing one two's with the wingers pulling out the centre backs and creating space in behind.

He won the ball back in a couple of positions which nearly created a chance. And he should of scored the chance he had. This is something he must do better but he is there for the team. And he will be whilst klopp is the manager.

You need someone to explain to you why Firmino is such a good player ?

                          Sheesh !!!

Transitional play. How many times we are able to instigate attacks high up is mostly down to him and the movement of our wide players. He catches defenders off guard with his running and harassing.

Yes I do, because it isn't self evident that he deserves a regular starting place in the Liverpool front 3. Just saying he is great and trying to be smug about it doesn't make it so.
