To be honest i think if Sturridge was fully fit we might see Firmino deeper or on bench but clearly that's not going to happen. I get Firminosrole in the system but we need a striker that scores goals.

Scoring goals is the main objective for any football team. If we had scored more goals tonight the game would be fine and dusted. With our defence we need to be scoring as many goals as physically possible. Almost every title winner has a guy that bangs in 20 plus a season... It's not a coincidence.

That's precisely the reason I think it is pivotal for us to get the like a of DM or a tackler in our midfield to protect our defence. Let the striker stay higher up. I appreciate Firminos work rate but after December last year he was burned out. I think we have a very workmanlike team in general and don t think it would be a bad idea to have your striker stay up top, especially with the amount of chances Salah and Mane will create.
