it was from early days. I had fun trolling for a few pages then we had a win & everyone was like “ oh now I see why we bought him” “ he’s a top player this lad” I’m sure if I jumped a few pages I’d have found more of this though.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Ok, soberd up (slightly), so should be able to formulate a sentence.

Absolutely not! Why would I think that?

During the summer, the same argument was made for a number of players. Kane is the best striker in the league, yet Spurs are behind us. People were crying that United spend £75m on Lukaku, yet Firmino has scored the same amout and unlike Lukaku, adds to the game when not scoing. Chelsea have Morata, Arsenal have Lacazette, how can we compete with them? Look how that's turning out.

So considering we're the second highest scorers in the league with two of the top scoring players, why would I think that a player who has never scored a PL goal would improve us?

Just my opinion - Firmino does well when the team does well. A top class striker would help us unlock tight defences (I've yet to see Firmino do that).

The fact that some Liverpool fans are content with just having a player/striker of the calibre of Firmino (i.e. don't think we need to aim higher) worries me. But I think it's a fair reflection of where we currently stand as a club i.e. content with being on the fringes.

      Hope so.

At least you two had the balls to give an opinion I think some posters only visit the site when we win
'Firmino does well when the team does well'

That line is utter madness and was what left me lost for words yesterday. Firmino is absolutely fundamental to everything good we do and if anything, the oppostite is true, ie the team play well when Firmino plays well. We have nobdy else in the squad that can do what he does and because of this he's probably our most important player.

I thought when I quoted your post, you were going to say it was written in anger after a defeat or you had a few too many. I find it staggering that you are standing by it. Firmino has 6 goals in his last 7 PL games, but the first sign of an off day you are calling for his head? What does Firmino actually have to do to convince you he has the 'calibre' to play for us, or is your mind made up and nothing will change it?

The only 'proper strike' in teh league that has outscored Firmino and is ahead in teh league is Aguero. By his standardsm he isn't having a great season and Firmino has IMo been the better player this year. We have a **** keeper, **** defence and **** midfield. How does playing a 'proper striker' make us better than those teams around us with 'proper strikers'.

(Got a meeting now, so having to cut this short peoole will be glad to know ).
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Ha, I didn't realise at the time, but I think you are right. I'm feeling the pain now.

All gone quiet on the FA investigation front then? Seems like they are waiting until everyone has forgotten about it before announcing the case is closed or something (hopefully).
It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.

Looking for something, anything, that they can use to throw the book at Firmino.

Or being really thorough so Holgate can't kick up a fuss about them not taking racial abuse seriously.

The FA have traveled back to Brazil to interview Bobby’s former school teachers & students to see what dirt can be dug up about him.

Johnathon Romero said “ Roberto would refuse to play football with the coloured kids claiming they were stupido negritos “

His teachers said “ he was a troubled child & didn’t mix with the other students “

The English FA Investigation is complete & Bobby will be outed for the remainder of the season & all points earned in matches he’s played in since the disgusting outburst by Firmino will be stripped from the Club for failure to control its players.
