I thought I made it clear enough
never can tell though hey.

To a certain degree I think this is already the perception unfortunately and it would not surprise me if Bobby has his head turned this summer....Originally posted by greenturnip View PostI know you're joking...but it occurred to me the other day that selling any more of our big-name footballers to Barcelona (or Madrid, I guess) runs a real reputational risk to LFC - that we literally become known as a feeder club for the La Liga 'giants'."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Tbf... that could enhance us in the eyes of other players. its about ensuring you have your replacement identified and signed *before* you sell your star players.
Id prefer that to fighting for 5th place every year.
We have not really replaced any of our star players like for like going back the past decade.
Hyypia Hamman Torres Alonso Mascherano Gerrard Carragher Suarez Sterling Coutinho... maybe Sturridge.
We just sell and make do for a while, or panic buy a pile of ****In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Isn't every other club a feeder for those two? With a small exception for very recent PSG, though it remains to be seen just how viable that model is for them.
Pique, Beckham, Ronaldo (FAKE), Henry, Zidane, Alves, Ronaldo (FAT), Kluivert etc.
Atletico do pretty well, consistently getting the next S.American wonder to play for them for a few years before a big money move to either or?"that is my opinion and that is more important than what anyone else has to say about it" - Mr A.Fergusson, Oct 2011

I see what some of you are saying: better to be known as a stepping-stone to greatness than....not. But does the same apply to Chelsea, City and Yernited? If not, why not? And does it affect the type of player we can expect to attract? I'm just a bit tired of the predictability of losing our best players. I actually hope that an(y) EPL team wins the CL this year so we can put back some of the shine on coming to the EPL. **** La Liga.
