He's still on his original contract which was signed prior to the market went completely mad. It may be a rumour but the clause was well 'documented'. Prior to this season £82m would seem a high fee for him (more than double what we paid), now with inflation and his upsurge in form its quite reasonable. Wouldn't be surprised at all if he has the buyout clause inserted, particularly if Suarez had a 40m clause which wasn't even that high at the time for a player of his quality.
