Bobby was a little game rusty today after his holiday. However, he showed some sublime skills from time to time. What a ‘mare of a player to play against

Think he was at his best today creating space for others, not to mention his tracking back (with the welcome snide at one point after TAA was caught out).

His work rate was fantastic as per usual but his touch was definitely off. Bit of rust, no biggie still a class act.

Attracted so many defenders though. At least twice he had three players around him, imagine the space for others he must have created. Once he wriggled and close-controlled his way out of the situation and the other he tried the same but looked tired. Pelligrini obviously must have targeted him as the man that we start our moves with.

Needs to sort that barnet out tho, shocker!

As a man with a rapidly receding hairline, I hate it when those blessed with a full head of hair abuse it so!

I always wondered that. My full and luscious head of hair has been given no love other than a side parting straight out out of the 1970s since, well, the 1970s when I was a young 'un. For the last 10 years I've started looking out for half balding guys wondering why the feck I'm not doing more with my hair on the London tubes to/from work.

imagine what he'll be like once he is really up and running.

I actually expect him to be taking and converting even more chances this season, his goal rate did drop off in the latter half of the league season (though not work rate/assists etc) wouldn't surprise me if he hit 20 league goals this season

Well if we're scoring 140 goals this season, he'll get more than 20

well used to his role & won't be as burned out as he was at times last season as we have more quality options in the squad, so he can actually rest up from time to time.

Can't remember the last time I saw Bobby pull up with cramp? Still not quite match fit, maybe.
