Last year of his contract so smells like agent bluff to get Firmino a new contract with us.
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Unless he has decided that he wants to go, I would be surprised if he goes, from the club point of view it would be alot of changes to the forward line in one window. Mane and Firmino out as well as Origi and Minamino all out and just Nunez and Carvalho in is alot of change
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Selling Bobby makes no sense unless we have a replacement lined up already. It’s just not on imo.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I've treated this as pure bollocks so far and am continuing to do so...but it's getting a bit hairy. Surely we're not letting him go.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

We'd be short of options without him. We normally don't let anyone leave until we have a replacement lined up.

I could see us letting him leave if he wants to go, but not in these circumstances?

If Bobby does go, do we need anyone else in or is a frontline of Diaz/Nunez/Salah with Jota and Carvalho as the rotational options enough to see us through?

Looks like he is off to me.

Nunez coming in tells him he is destined to be a sub all season and he won't want that, especially with a world cup on the horizon.

As much as it will be sad I can see him going to get more game time and I think we should let him if that's what he wants. He goes a cult legend.

I just hope we do bring someone in although I doubt we will.

I still think we'd be one short personally, and if Nunez does take time to settle then I think we might struggle.

Jota is also injured and might take a while to get back to form.

I haven't seen us linked to any more forwards though so it seems unlikely we'd sign someone out of the blue?

Clinging to the fact that all the rumours are from Italian based journos, I'd worry more if any of the LFC gang were hinting at it. I've also seen reports saying he's going to sign a new contract imminently, so maybe this is just agent tactics as others have suggested.

There's no way we should be letting him go this window. You need some continuity.

If he wants out, tell him he can go for nothing next summer.

If he wants to stay, chuck a one or two year extension at him but without a payrise.

Have any of the English journos come out to say the story is bollocks, or are they still sounding out their own sources to see if there is any truth to the rumours?

Don’t think Nunez coming in implies that, given that Mane has left. Mane would certainly be ahead of him, Nunez probably will, but not certainly, especially for the first few weeks/months. Also the fact that there’s 5 subs and the most congested season ever, means he will surely get plenty of game time.

I would agree with this if he said he wanted to leave after the CL final, when Mane did. Then we could have planned for things- maybe we would have given Mane the wages he wanted to sign a new contract, maybe we’d have signed a new player, maybe we’d have kept minamino/origi, and maybe we’d have prepped differently during pre season. But if he waits until the last week of pre season to say hey actually I want to leave, then he should be told tough luck, and to get back to work.
                          I don't tip

All quiet. A little too quiet, maybe?

The original story came from Tuttomercato which is hardly known for its' hard hitting factual journalism and now the 'proper' Italian papers are referring to rumours (presumably these) to keep the story going.
