crazy fool, like anyone would ever be so mentalist to loan out a 20m+ player

I bet FSG were thinking the worst when they saw their £30m marquee signing being played out of position and looking ordinary on the wing under the last fella. I wonder if that went some way to the eventual sacking!

Well the story was Firmino was the TC pick and that meant as a quid pro quo Rodgers had to have his first choice which was Benteke, Bentekers plays front and centre and Bobby ends up on the right flank.

Sort of tells its own tail really.

On a cruder note, they were probably thinking:

"this lad is one of the hottest tickets around and this fackin c*nt can't even find a place for him in his fackin dysfunctional, dreary piece of **** team"

                Or something like that.

Whatever though, its in the past. I reckon its safe to be a bit excited about how good Bobby is going to be for us long term. Maybe we'll get £80m from Barca for this one

There was a surprising amount in the media about how he had failed to adapt before he had even been given much of a chance.

said all along that I think its the right approach given it should mitigate risk, but maybe our execution hasn't been great. Manager should have first and last say though

the fact that Rodgers wanted the players he wanted says more about him than the transfer committee

In the poll that was created aeons ago about who should have control over transfers (Rodgers, Committee, both, etc) a small handful voted for Committee-Only. Their's was the only record worth boasting about - not by much but it consisted of Coutinho and Sturridge.

Though I still had faith in Rodgers' philosophy (stupidly) I lost confidence in his ability to spot a good player years ago.

I know it's early days etc but so far he's been a real disappointment. Clearly has talent and i'm sure he'll improve.... but he's been pretty **** so far.

Must be a new low in performance today for our marquee signing. He's got to learn to become a bit meaner; bring out that animal the Brazilian players possess.

He was absolute ****e but I still belive he'll become a valuable player.

Its no accident that he plays best when Benteke is not on the pitch. Give him the false nine role if Sturridge is not fit to play and let him and Coutinho do their thing with support from Lallana, Can, Ibe. We have yet to see Firmino and Sturridge on the pitch at the same time I think so the swapping of both today seemed particularly short-sighted.
