His workrate and movement off the ball is very good. He has been quite frustrating and has contributed little directly so far, but he is certainly an intelligent player. Perhaps the formation isn't quite right and he needs to develop a better understanding with the players around him.

When Suarez was here, you could reel out stats saying Torres out ran him most games, I think Neville then compared key sprints per game and Suarez had about 50 to Torres' 10 so all these stats are meaningless in isolation

Basically people have an preconception about a player and their performance and that affects their bias of a players performance.

People talk about Firmino being anonymous. He made the most tackles, had the most touches of our attacking players made the most chances and was generally very good.

Yea I seem to remember him coming back and winning the ball on several occasions and obviously bagged an assist too.

Agree with that. Let's see if his confidence improves after setting up the winner.

You could, but there is nothing to support that idea with Benteke's play. When you look at his stats they back up the idea of him being meh.

Yeah stats show that he's been more productive than Firmino. You're very selective with your use of them.

im sure a few games back Benteke had a 70% pass completion ratio and you pointed out it was cobblers and we needed better. Firmino mustered up a 72% against Leicester and he played well. So does that mean Benteke had only been 2% of the golden marker? Poor Big Chris. So near yet so far!
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
