My opinion is that he was. He was pretty consistent in his standards with them, and had one stand out season whilst there. The way he has started this season with us could well see him notching goals and assists at a similar rate to his best season at Hoffenheim.

I think because he is with us now the temptation would be to say that he has upped his game since joining us, but I think the truth would be closer to him just maintaining his own standard of play whilst getting better players around him to compliment his play.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

In his penultimate season he was pretty sensational - it was after that I really wanted him. Had he been available in Sturridges year off then Rodgers would probably still be the manager - oh wait!

How ****ing good this is guy?

Hard to believe some were writing him after a month of Rodgers playing him right midfield.

His blend of intelligence, relentless work rate and tenacity, skill and technique (his touch is unbelievable) and elusive movement is almost unique in this league. He has that Thomas Muller-esque elusiveness and ability to find space almost unnoticed. He's not a midfielder, definitely not a striker but a sort of forward who any team in the world would want. And the beauty of it is, most non-LFC supporting idiots can't see it.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I wouldn't swap him for anyone, that's how good he is. Sturridge best get used to that bench even though he could have had 4 himself today!

two or three times today he turned and all the rest of the players were still going the other way, glimpses of suarez.

were the crowd singing if we still had suarez he'd be sat on the bench
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Yes, Firmy is the pound shop Suarez without question, same cheeky street attitude, same workrate, same ability to keep a sat nav map of the play in his head.

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Some were writing him off this summer too, or at least questioning what he brings to the team.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

The most Suarez like thing I've seen since he left was Mane's goal V Arse where he casually runs through a bunch of defenders and chips it in from a bad angle with ease.

I think they both have some aspects of his exciting play and together give us what we've been missing.

Took 2 players to replace him, but we have. Would still love him back like, would be utter insanity with him up with 'em

One of the best descriptions of Firmino I've read

The only type of striker who can displace him from our lineup atm is a Suarez. So, not many!
I wear my heart on my profile name.

he is turning out to be a brilliant signing alright......

I remember Mostar on here saying that we should sign Firmino a good year / 18 months before we did. I think the general consensus at the time was "snap him up fast before he becomes unattainable"

Klopp has definately inproved so many of our players. It is easy to look at the likes of Lovren and Lallana and say that Klopp has made them good players for LFC (he has) but even the likes of Coutinho and Bobby F, he has transformed them from very good players to potentially world class.....

Just read this on the BBC gossip column

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino's contract includes an 'anti-Arsenal' clause, with the 25-year-old Brazil international's £82.6m release clause able to be triggered by any club except the Gunners. (Le Soir, via Independent)
                                Probably BS but
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
