He may be suffering a bit because he's been shifted out wide to accommodate Origi. He's not really a wide player, as he doesn't really have explosive pace. His trickery is better suited centrally.
    Are we winning?

You obviously do care Chris, you love to care, you make a point of calling out anyone who says anything that might provoke conversation, which on here is becoming less of a thing, week by week.

I like the lad. He needs to go up to the next level if we are to win things. He has so much ability.

I think that's definitely part of it.

I thought he was very poor last night. caught in possession , bad passes etc

same as Origi, suppose it happens every now and then, makes us look disjointed

why I was happy to have Sturridge to come on and change it

Derby games are hard to judge players on, but one annoying thing in particular that has creeped into our game is not taking shots often enough which is why having a striker on is always a bonus.

Arsenal when they were good used to try and walk the ball in and now we're doing similar.

Also FWIW, Firmino mostly played centrally last night with Origi on the left but swapping with Mane on occasion. I put Firmino's form down to Coutinho's absence and with that more pressure, demands etc.

Definitely looked more like the player under Rodgers last night. He's shown more than enough though that he's class. He is dropping too deep though. I really don't want him picking up the ball near our halfway line, he's too unpredictable for that.

he still worked his nuts off though. So if you can't influence the game with the ball at your feet, then make sure you do your best to hurt / prevent the opposition from playing their game.

I think he might be a little fatigued. Hopefully after the sunderland game on 2nd of Jan, Klopp can give a number of our first teamers a week in Dubai or something - let the FA Cup game for the likes of Woodburn......

Firmino puts a shift in every game and never complains.
All I want for Christmas is a win the derby and Bob to give it a rest.
One out of two will have to do I suppose.
