The maximum amount of credit you can give him is he was getting in a position to at least have the chances. He had to take at least one of them. He must be starting to sweat a it himself now. You can almost see him pausing and thinking 'oh no' when he is clean through on goal. He did nothing with that chance, just ran straight at the keeper and hit it at him, no ideas as to how to beat him at all. Chip it, drop a shoulder and go the other way, move wider to get a better angle. None of that see,s to enter his head.

Yesterday we saw the mixed but promising performance that we should have seen back in September or October latest. Problem is he waited for months and months until Origi and Sturridge came back to show any kind of footballing form. In February ffs.
