And as discussed above, Origi and Ings are almost brand new.

...and we did that for 20p!
In truth we know nothing about Klavan & it is way to early to say if Matip is an upgrade on either Kolo or Skrtel. Not sure Karius was bought to replace Mig, but more IMO so to provide quality opposition for him & maybe during the course of the season step in when Mig inevitably ****s up.

And Sane was a good buy for City alright

Really? Karius was one of the top keepers in the Bundesliga last season. I don't think he's been brought in as cover.

The fee was low because he had a release clause.

I can't stand Mig but I think he was brought in for strong competition and will eventually replace Mig. I fear Klopp likes Mig and Moreno

I don't think Klopp would go out and sign Mig if he didn't already play for us (i.e. he doesn't like him that much). He did come out and publically support Mig when he was getting stick last season, but I think that was just good management in the circumstances.

Mig also got a new contract but that's just good business.

As for Moreno - he has all the attributes to be a top full-back (apart from a brain but that never stopped a lot of players). The elements that let him down are all coachable. I reckon Klopp thinks that this season, with 1 game a week, he can iron out the problems with Moreno.

Yeah I can't see Klopp going after Mig if he wasn't at the club but even before the Karius injury, I did think that Mig would have started the season in between the sticks for us.

As for Moreno, he's a lost cause for me. Can't defend, no positional sense and no brain.... not ideal for your LB & vital attributes for any defender IMO. Was hoping we could get another solid LB in but sure might have to hope Moreno can improve as he's looking like first choice.

Klopp does seem to believe in him, despite what you guys are saying.

Most definitely. That's why he played anybody *but* Benteke last season, has actively spent the entire summer trying to sell him and not played him in the majority of our pre-season.

                    Oh you.

I was referring to Moreno, re Dan's post, not Benteke. If you cared to read properly. You.

You posted a non-quoted post in a thread about Benteke.

I don't think he fancies any of our defenders who can play left back. He could play Clyne there but didn't fancy Flanagan on the other side. Maybe if TAA proves his worth and we don't sign anyone then Clyne will move to left back. He plays Moreno because our options there are limited and indeed he was planning to use a utility midfielder there ahead of him until Milner got injured. He wants another left back but so far hasn't found one, when he does, Moreno will be where he deserves to be. The bench.
