I thought he did just ok but I am prepared to show some patience because there is no doubt he has skills and is as strong as the proverbial ox. What I didn't like was the constant aerial bombardmentup to him. Got to mix it up a bit.

i am happy with the addition of Benteke.....

MOTD the other night showed clips of his link up with Coutinho - there were a few instances where little phil was a cunt-hair away from getting the big guy through one-on-one........ when little Philly gets used to having Firmino, Benteke and Sturridge all making runs and space in front of him, then lfc are going to be awesome. None of those players are Luis Suarez but Coutinho is getting better all the time and if Firmino can settle into england, then he will be a handful as well..... Hopefully the difference to 2 seasons ago will be that we have young hungry ****ers on the bench in Origi, Ings, Ibe and maybe even Markovic...... as opposed to Victor Chocolate Fireguard Moses.....

I've been quiet about this, but among all the negativity in the past few months I've been gearing myself up for another league title tilt. We have too many options this time for that not to be a reality.

And the main ingredient is: Rodgers. He only knows how to play fluid attacking football and with the right players that's what we're going to do. Take LvG for example, good players around him but will play the game negatively.

I just want it on the record I'm not on his back, I think he'll score goals but I just think the other option could have been more economical, similar output for much less money. I really hope Benteke will come through though and he'll need some time to adjust obviously.

Darkon is doing a good job on the confirmed transfers, I feel he should make a table for Benteke. He could have three columns, Aye, Naye and Fencesitter and then use it as a stick to beat posters with during X-Mas.

Let's just wait and see, Rondon has scored goals at Malaga, Rubin and Zenit and since we wanted to go for a target man I think he'd have been a good shout. Especially since he cost 20 million less and is probably on a lesser wage as well.

Rondon is only a year older than Benteke but WBA paid almost 3 times less than what we paid for similar type of a player.

Granted Benteke is PL proven and Rondon is not but I do agree that if really wanted to sign a target man imo he'd be certainly less risky option given the price tag.

Given that this Brendan is now under huge pressure to deliver, I think Rondon would have been the bigger gamble given that he's never played in the PL and may take longer to settle etc. I think Brendan played it safe and went with the player who he knows exactly what he can do in this league.
