The commentators remarked that he made a lot of good runs but was never picked up.

I'm guessing no-one from here went to the game to tell us?

Really was utter **** last night.

I'm not a fan of Benteke and now I hope we get rid sooner rather than later but yesterday the pitch was a bog and not for getting the ball down and playing.
We had a Hulk (isn't that Tony Stark's line ) up front, we needed to be more direct and we definitely show have been crossing more. One bit of quality Benteke receives in the box and he nearly scores.

That chance where Sinclair is in the final third and has the chance to cross and doesn't was unforgivable. Exeter in the exact same position minutes later cross and score.
Felt sorry for Benteke tonight, waiting for service that didn't come.

Still think we should get rid, though.

He won't go in Jan, too risky with current injuries, crazy as that statement sounds. He'll be nudged out of the door in summer when Klopp's had a word with a few friendly Germans who fancy mixing it up with him in the Premier League. Certainly need more steel, more grit and determination, strong leaders in the spine of the team - and Benteke as captain last night showed he doesn't have that either.

Which channel did you watch it on??

I would say based on previous experience of watching him live he didn't make hardly any runs

He's as lazy as Balotelli for me, like Balotelli he's not in the box enough and when he is he doesn't attack the ball with enough aggression

Unlike Balotelli he's got the touch of Heskey

If he did then it would of been off camera when the ball was no where near him. Any time he was in the camera shot he was just standing next to someone.

Danny Murphy spent all game talking total ****e as usual so the fact he endorsed Benteke says it all. He must've magically timed all his runs to be off camera cos every time he was on he exhibited all the movement of a slug with rigor mortis.
                    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Murphy was appalling going on about Benteke and Lallana

                      What a tool

It was Danny Murphy who said it.

Murphy had his rectum held up to the mic all match though. As said above every comment in commentary did not take either our fixture or injury list into consideration

It was a real tour de force of Bentekes worst attributes. And despite having gone on all game about getting the ball in to Heskey, the one time we did, he hits it straight at the keeper from point blank range.
                        Modifying post.

I didn't see any evidence to support Murphy's observations btw, just posting what the commentators said!

We'll see if Klopp plans on teaching Benteke 'The Klopp Way' or simply cuts his losses, takes a huge hit on the fee (teams will obviously know we want rid) and bring in a striker than suits us.

We aren't a crossing team and by that I mean our crosses are **** rather than we don't cross, so I don't see the point in him (Benteke).

You'd think why the management would agree to fork out £32m for him then. Still, I've seen people in here also mention that we needed a "Plan B" because Rodgers' football of "death by football" was too one dimensional.

We're not a really well managed club in terms of planning in the transfer market. Bar Suarez and Torres and a few others under Rafa, we've been a shambles.
                              Are we winning?

I sort of agree, there doesn't appear to have been any sort of coherent plan of how we will play and the type of players we need for that to happen and not just the starters but throughout the squad
