It will take a couple of windows to get this right, I'm going to get upset and overjoyed along the way but no way am I getting panicked.

Buy a midfielder with some bottle please Klopp and a friggin LB. There is money there to spend. Plenty of it.

We have no leaders on the pitch. They're all absolute pussies unfortunately.

Played poor in the two finals last season when it mattered most. By all accounts the set up was poor yesterday. He's not as polished as we hoped. Still like the guys passion and charisma. It's just clear he's not the Messiah that some hoped/thought. 5th would be an achievement.

The best thing to happen to LFC in years and there's already people getting on his back.

We're never going to compete with United, City and Chelsea. Especially not when they're all capable of spending £50+ million on a player.

United have been poor for 3 years and they go and spend £30 million on a centre back, £100 million on a centre mid, £30 million on an attacking mid and they bring in a striker who's scored goals by the bucket load wherever he's played.

Klopp needs to get 5 years at least to sort it out, anyone who was thinking we'd be winning the league in his first full season needs to take their head for a wobble. He's never been a manager to sign proven talent for huge sums of money, he built his teams slowly over a number of years.

That's fair. Looking forward to (and dreading) the bumpy ride.

Nobodies expecting us to win the league, but we need to see some improvement this season, and he needs to up his win ratio.

We should be seeing clear improvements at this stage. The defending part of our game is the main concern.
                  Are we winning?

The good thing is he at least is addressing fans' concerns.

He has spoke about the LB and he's recently (yesterday) spoke about the press desire for a "hard midfielder". So whether he agrees with the concerns or not at least he is giving some indication that the apparent flaws in our game is understood. What plan he comes up with is up to him.

I also like how he spoke about fitness not being the only thing and how he expected Burnley to be vomiting after 75mins. This league is so competitive, he'll have to go some to outwork teams, there's more finesse to it.

At this stage i have faith he'll sort it out. Will take more than a full season though

Fifth would be progress and progress should be an achievement this season. He's addressed a few areas this summer transfer window, but he will need a few more transfer windows before we see a true Klopp side.

Which, as the season goes on, I hope we will see. Two games in will not be a true indicator of the season ahead.

Should we? Klopp's had half a season rescuing Rodgers' final year and one summer transfer window to put his stamp on the squad of which we are two games in. Combined with our inability to field a consistent back five and players learning new roles and tactics, I think it may be some time before we see a consistent Liverpool.

                        Stuff from today’s press conference.

                        Klopp on injuries

In this moment I would say all available who where available last week, plus one or two more if we need them.

                        Klopp on learning from Burnley

(They learned) different things. It doesn’t feel good and it still doesn’t feel good. The first goal was too early. Development never works like you actually want it to, you have to take the knocks sometimes.

“In a lot of moments we have done it better.”

“The first game was good, the second game not. So what’s the truth now?
                        “We have to stay calm.”

Klopp on Liverpool's final third problems

If you think it’s God’s judgement that you don’t score with 80 percent of possession then you have a big problem.

                        “We have to do better.

“We did a lot of good things, but at the end we made the wrong decisions. In two or three situations we had too many players involved outside the box and not in the box, that makes absolutely no sense.”

                        Klopp on Origi

He is not a very experienced player, he needs to sort all of his skills. He needs to use the right skill in the right moment

"Physically, he can make another step. But on the other side, he has no rhythm in the moment, which you can see."

                        Klopp on Cup competition

This year, hopefully we have a better situation with injuries. I like cup games, and we will be competitive."

We have to show that we want to be in this competition. It's about respecting the game, working hard, playing football."

"We had so many diff. line-ups last season, a times I was surprised how good we were.
'No preferred position' for signing players.

                        Klopp on signing players

"What will happen we will see, I don't know in this moment, but we do not have a preferred position to sign players.

Don't know why I suddenly read/heard these two sentences as coming from LvG's mouth.

Two or three situations? Two or three situations?

Hands up anyone here who DIDN'T envisage this game being played on the centre circle for 90 minutes with the players he picked?

Signings need to be made because the squad is **** in some areas. We have money, coaching only goes so far. Let's hope he isn't as stubborn with cash as Wingerworth, because prudence won't work in this league. It's a ****ing arms race.

I'm not buying into all this 5 year bollocks again, heard it too many times before.

A good manager can make an immediate difference, and some take a few months to get things improving. He's had his honeymoon period, now we need to see some consistent improvement this season. If we're still up and down for the next 6 months serious questions need to be asked.

Don't take this the wrong way, I don't expect us to be winning the league
but we need to be putting in a very strong push for 4th. Its not all about teeth, glasses and heavy metal, its about winning.

it would be fair to say the honeymoon period is over then.

I 100% reckon if we'd lost 2-0 to Arsenal and beaten Burnley 4-3 then everyone would be happier. I'm happy if we improve this season and are in the mix for top 4. I like Jurgen and want him to get some time.

2 games in people. 2 games.
