For those saying we need a complete overhaul and new starting 11 I would argue that this squad is not significantly better or worse than the one that came second minus Suarez.
We just need a genuine threat in the final third and things will begin to improve instantly. That's the difference between this squad and the 13/14 squad. We have essentially nothing to worry the opposition at their end so they play without fear and we play without any flair/panache.
We need a couple of competent strikers (they don't need to be world class) and some stability in defense and midfield.
I'd imagine we'll have a healthy budget this summer with all the new PL TV money coming in plus we didn't buy anyone in January. If we sell Benteke, Lallana and a few others too that will help the budget, there's no reason we can't get the players we need.
Piece of cake.

On the basis he's only been here since the Summer and he is evidently a good player I would stick with him for another year. I wouldn't be upset either but would give him time. Same for Firmino although I'm not sure which position best suits him.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostI wouldn't upset if we replaced Clyne at all.

Simply because he is considered one of the best managers in the World right now, easily makes the top 10 in the world, thats worldclass. Took two unfancied teams to unbelievable success take a club from the lower German Lgs to Champions Lg Qualification. Taking a mediocre club to Two Geman Lg Titles and Running up in the Champions lg all on a shoe string budget ..Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostWhy is he 'world class'? I'm curious to know how he can be classed as such.
He is ****ing quality.
He inherited the weakest Liverpool team in living memory mid season ... any talk of is Klopp not ****ing Awesome is mega cock custardAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

Piece of cake.
2 central defenders, 1 top class striker, some muscle in midfield and a pacey winger on the right for starters.
I personally wouldn't be concerned with who we sell in the summer as I don't think any of them are particularly decent, though I suppose Coutinho is the pick if a little inconsistent.
If I had to pick 5 to sell though it would be Benteke, Lucas, Lallana, Ibe, Sakho and Toure. edit. and of course Mario!Last edited by tanner; 04-02-16, 06:59 AM.SakhoPotatoes

****ing hell!Originally posted by tanner View PostIf Klopps not given huge financial backing this summer I can see him walking out. He must be thinking he's made a massive mistake.

What you expect from him? Rodgers assembled a **** squad for 300 million over three years and spoke of the need to rebuild, fair enough, but he's not going to be allowed to rebuild again after that **** job of recruiting so he deserved the sack there and then.Originally posted by EwarWoo View PostAlso to play devil's advocate, outside of press conferences what has he done better than Rodgers whilst here?
I don't think any manager would have done better than this really, maybe he could have sacked the cups off and concentrated only on the league but I'm happy he didn't.
Klopp has had the most games in Europe since he took over coupled with an injury crisis. It's hard taking over a team in the middle of a season but doing it and playing in four competitions with no strikers is really hard work.
If, in the summer or in the fall, hell even last season, I could've picked any manager in the world, I'd have chosen Klopp every time, and now that he's here we need to get behind him all the way.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
